My “Christine” is done and going out! I sent it to about 5 of my writer friends-SIDE NOTE- You have to send your script to people you know, if you can’t find anyone, join a writers group, if you can’t do that, sit around with your real friends-real, not writers, and read it out loud. Best if you have someone else read it as well-especially if it is comedy. Because you will add inflections to make your point that may not be clear in the writing-So I sent mine out to 5 people after the first draft. I got notes, I made changes. I went to a comedy workshop *see earlier post* I made more changes, and sent it out again, now I am done, the script is sent out and I am on to my next show!

TWO and a half MEN

I know everyone and their dog is writing Modern Family, Community and or Parks & Rec, but I love TAHM, Chuck Lorre and so this is what I am doing. The show is on all the time, and with DVD rentals I feel like I have been living with Charlie Harper for the past two weeks-except of course without the great sex-or STD that would be sure to follow the aforementioned.

I am so excited to be working in comedy again, I can’t tell you, and honestly, I am a much happier person.

So here I go!! Men men men men, manly men men men!!!!

I can’t believe I have to say this, but unfortunately I do.

I started this blog because I am a writer. I have many friends that are writers, and belong to a few writers groups. We are all trying to learn from each other and share our experiences.

I write a couple other blogs and after a few people asked me to write more specifically about film/tv and my experiences I started this little blog. It is meant for fun, and learning, which is why I often share articles and links to other blogs.

As well, when I take a great class or workshop, I like to talk about it and share with all of you, so you can sign up next time around. I am not a kiss ass or a bullshitter, I am a New Yorker-I am a straight shooter and when I am excited about something or someone I like to share that information.

I try to make this upbeat, and funny. Sometimes I am snarky, that is just who I am. I like a good discussion, but like to keep it upbeat and positive.

I like to share my thoughts about shows and films, and I love comments, but PLEASE people understand that I currently work in the industry and I can not tolerate certain types of posts.

A) You can not call anyone on my blog-myself included- any type of name, even if you don’t like their comment. People have the right to their opinion, so please respect it. Abusive comments won’t be posted.

B) I will not tolerate any type of slurs against anyone, real or fictional because of race, age, sexual orientation, color, studio they work for, type of dog they own, etc. etc. Don’t do it.

C) Be mindful of the fact that this is a small industry, and what you say on my blog could make me look as bad as it does you.

I am just asking for you to have respect for yourself and me. Thank you so much. Kindergarden is out now, please enjoy your milk and cookies.

Way Too Much Work Done

Okay, so apparently I was wrong about Christa Miller having work done, so I feel in the honor of real journalism, (I said honor-not saying this is real journalism, but you know what I mean) I have to correct my mistake. I guess she has had work done. I read an article where she admitted to having botox, but that was it. I don’t know what is true and what isn’t, but if you read the comments in my original post, you will see what people are saying-correcting me.

I still think Courtney Cox has had too much work done and it distracts me, Christa not so much.

Here are some shows that the “work” especially bothers me!

Mary McCormack, in In Plain Sight. WTF has she done to her lips? They are taking over the show.

Gabrielle Anwar, in Burn Notice. Not only is she too skinny, her lips are also too puffy.

Kim Delaney, in Army Wives, can hardly close her mouth, she is suffering from ‘Trout Pout’

Why ladies? WHY????

Seriously, especially with HD, it is hard to watch you.
